Welcome
This site has been offline for some time now. Mainly to find the time and muse for a redesign and new content. Obviously the time was not enough for a redesign but since there were requests for several of the former pages this site now represents a reworked dog section.
As before every one of our dogs has its own site containing information about abilities, shows etc. and of course pictures.
Maltese
There is a pack of five Maltese dogs living with us. Since they present the majority it could be seen as we are living with them. Maltese are small white dogs mostly seen well groomed with long fur on dog shows. Since we do not go on shows with our Maltese any more - long story - our Maltese have short fur during the summer and are as dirty as a dog not in show condition can be. Since I do not approve calling any living thing a toy I don't like the term 'toy dog'. Beside this faux pas in the English language you can find general information about Maltese on Wikipedia.
Fila Brasileiro
Three of our dogs are Filas. In contrast to our Maltese and Chinese Crested Dogs those are quite large but none the less playfull. However Filas do have a strong tendency to dislike strangers. If you happen to have a Fila you know that unexpected visits become rare. In general a Fila is a dog only for experienced owners. A short intro to this breed can again be found on Wikipedia. For more in depth information visit Neue Welt Filas.
Chinese Crested Dog
Our one Chinese Crested Dog is a bit larger than our Maltese (and a lot smaller than the Filas). She belongs to the 'hairless' kind of Chinese Crested Dogs. Which means she has beautiful long and soft hair on some parts of her body and short stubby hairs on other parts which looks kind of funny. As before Wikipedia gives a short intro.
